MS Australia is the national peak advocacy for people with Multiple Sclerosis in Australia, also known as MS, the most common chronic neurological disease affecting young Australians, affecting three times more women than men. MS Australia aims to enhance the quality of life of people with Multiple Sclerosis and reduce the impact MS has on the families and carers.
MS Australia delivers service to people with MS via state based MS Societies.

Objectives
- To help eliminate MS by funding research through Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia into the nature, causes, treatment, diagnosis and management of the disease.. Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia commissions new research, facilitate national and international collaborations and funds established research initiatives in partnership with Australia's top medical research institutes.
- To rationalise public education and awareness programs by producing publications and other materials.
- To encourage cooperation in government relations, fundraising, project development, staff training, planning health economics, state office development assistance, recruitment and evaluation.
- To take part in the worldwide fight against MS with the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation Societies
- To develop common systems to reduce costs, compare data and share resources.
- To develop the People with MS movement.

Fund Raising and other activities
MS Gong Ride
Riders in the Sydney to Gong bike ride fundraise a minimum of $250 to help people living with MS.
Melbourne Summer Cycle
A non-competitive 40 km bike ride around Melbourne to raise money for MS Limited
Brissie to the Bay
An annual event held to support Queenslanders living with MS. Cyclists raise money by cycling one of three distances, 10 km, 25 km or 50 km.
MS Moonlight Walk
An annual 10 kilometre walk through Brisbane's CBD to raise money for people with MS. Participants walk solo or in a team and collect donations from family and friends. The event takes place at dusk, beginning and ending at the South Bank Cultural Forecourt.
MSFestSouth Bank Cultural Forecourt
An annual music festival held in Launceston, Tasmania. MS Fest began in 2006 to mark the 50th birthday commemoration if the MS Society in Australia. The aim of the festival is to raise funds and create awareness for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
Step Up for MS
A vertical fun run event held annually to raise awareness and funds for Western Australians living with MS.
MS Readathon
The MS Readathon, run by MS Australia, started in 1979. The MS Readathon encourages Australians to read books to raise funds to help people living with MS. In 2010, The Novel Challenge was launched to involve adults.
